The focus of the Performing Arts Program at Rolling Hills Primary School is to promote a passion for and enjoyment of and skill in the areas of drama, dance, singing and music. Students in all year levels participate in one hour Performing Arts sessions each week. Students also have the opportunity to participate in numerous extra-curricular programs and performance opportunities including:
We hold a bi-annual music program. In the odd year, students from Levels 3-6 present a major Musical Production and our Foundation - 2 students participate in a junior concert, which is in the theme of the musical being presented. In the even year, we present a whole school concert.
Instrumental Music (from Level 1) facilitated by NoiseCraft Studio
"NoiseCraft" conducts small group lessons to develop musicianship and skills in a range of instruments. In conjunction with qualified teachers and professional musicians, NoiseCraft have developed an instrumental music program that allows each child to follow an individual music tuition path that grows with them.
On this exciting journey, your child will receive the research-proven benefits through lerning music in a quality music program. These benefits include improved maths and literacy skills, better memory, enhanced reasoning and problem-solving skills, strong motor and coordination skills and improved self esteem.
Lessons are $17.50 each (two students per class) in the following instruments: Guitar, Violin, Drums, Singing, Keyboard.
A Stepping Stones program is offered for Students from Foundation to Level 2. Lessons are $14.50. Students are introduced to instrumental music through: experimenting with different instruments, developing fine motor skills and learning fundamental music theory and notation.
Enrolments can be made by contacting NoiseCraft on 9737 1170 or completing a form from the office foyer.
“The instrumental music program offered by NoiseCraft to the students of Mount Evelyn Primary School is truly exceptional. NoiseCrafts approach is totally consistent with our child-centred learning approach and the children are encouraged to improve from whatever level they are at. NoiseCraft has also done a great job of ensuring that their program is complementary to the school’s Music Specialist Program. Parent feedback for NoiseCrafts programs has been positive in every instance.”
